Arsenal’s teenage prodigy set for valuable game time in Ligue 1.

Arsenal have officially confirmed that Ethan Nwaneri will join Olympique Marseille on loan until the end of the 2025/26 season. The 18-year-old attacking midfielder is set to gain more regular first-team experience in one of Europe’s top leagues.
“Our hugely talented 18-year-old has made 12 appearances in all competitions this season and will now get more valuable game time with the Ligue 1 side,” Arsenal stated in an official release.
A Hale End graduate, Nwaneri joined Arsenal at the age of eight and made history as the youngest player in Premier League history, debuting against Brentford in September 2022 at just 15 years and 181 days.

He scored his first Premier League goal against Nottingham Forest and netted a Carabao Cup brace against Bolton Wanderers in September 2024.
Having represented England at every youth level, Nwaneri is also an England Under-21 international, showing his immense potential on the international stage. Arsenal expressed their support for the move, wishing him success and growth in Ligue 1.
The loan deal is subject to the completion of all regulatory processes, and Nwaneri will now look to impress in France while continuing his development.
