Colombian superstar Shakira has unveiled the official song for the FIFA World Cup, featuring Nigerian Grammy-winning artist Burna Boy.
The announcement was made via an Instagram collaboration with Global Citizen and FIFA, where Shakira previewed a one-minute clip of the upcoming track and music video set for release on May 14.
This marks Shakira’s return to World Cup music history, following her iconic 2010 anthem “Waka Waka (This Time for Africa)”, which became one of the most successful football songs of all time.
The collaboration has already generated massive global excitement, with Burna Boy becoming one of the few African artists to feature prominently on an official FIFA World Cup anthem.
The song is expected to play a key role in building global anticipation ahead of the 2026 tournament, which will be hosted across the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
A global fusion of football and music — and a big stage moment for Burna Boy on the world stage.
